Styled by the magazine's creative director Joe Zee, the American actor is being sexy and androgynous in power suits while flirting with her '40s sex kitten alter-ego. Add fabulous pieces from brands such as Balenciaga, Lanvin and Alexander Wang to the mix and you've got one of the most intriguing fashion stories for the season.

Forever Strong

Rihanna has proven herself to be a strong woman after the storm she went through in the public eye (Chris Brown?). To capture that strength on film, Elle taps photographer Tom Munro to shoot the Barbadian pop star while wearing pieces from labels such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Dior and Alexander Wang. Fashion editor Joe Zee styled for the shoot which will apear on the magazine's May 2012 issue.

Rihanna also appears on the magazine's cover wearing Versace.
