A Bigger Splash


Fashion glossies all over the world are sure to feature swimsuits in their editorials at this time of the year. The question is which magazine will produce the best summer editorial? If this is a contest then Vogue China's "A Bigger Splash" is a serious contender. Featuring supermodel Doutzen Kroes in glamorous swimwear from Dolce & Gabbana, Missoni and others, the Dutch beauty is photographed by Sølve Sundsbø and styled by fashion editor Nicoletta Santoro. True to its name, this fashion story is going to make a splash as part of Vogue China's June 2012 issue.

i-D Issue No. 317 (The Whatever The Weather Issue)

British glossy i-D Magazine releases their 317th issue with nine covers for the newsstands and eight online exclusive covers. The issue is called "The Whatever The Weather" issue and to celebrate the Year of the Water Dragon the magazine chose to feature more Chinese models with Western ones.

The newsstand covers were shot by photographers. Alasdair McLellan, Chen Man, Hedi Slimane, Sølve Sundsbø, Jeff Bark and Josh Olins. The cover stars entertainer and fashion designer Victoria Beckham and models Dylan Riley, Lara Stone, Lara Mullen Matt Ardell, Stella Tennant and Chinese models Li Zheng, Meng Lu, Quncuo and Pan Yan.

Vogue Japan, Vogue Korea, Vogue China and Vogue Taiwan February 2012

What does Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan have in common? Not only are they known as Oriental countries, they also have their own edition of Vogue. Here are their February 2012 covers..



Saskia de Brauw is clad in Burberry Prorsum for the cover of Vogue Japan. The Dutch model was shot by Norwegian photographer Sølve Sundsbø.



The cover of Vogue Korea is shot by photographer Rafael Stahelin and features Kasia Struss. Like Saskia, the Polish model is also wearing a piece Burberry Prorsum's S/S 2012 collection.



Zhao Wei (known in the west as Vicky Zhao) channels classic Hollywood glamour on the cover of Vogue China. The actor and pop singer was photographed by Kai Z Feng


Vogue Taiwan's cover features Taiwanese actor, singer and host Dee Hsu. As of the moment no news on who photographed the cover.

Chanel Beauty S/S 2012 Campaigns

Chanel Beauty features Jac Jagaciak and Merethe Hopland in their campaigns for S/S 2012. Here's a look at the photos shot by photographer Sølve Sundsbø.


Jac Jagaciak stars in Chanel Beauty's upcoming campaign called "Les Harmonies de Printemps". The collection features a color palette of soft pinks, peachy shades and also plum. The collection will be available in February 6 of next year.

On the other hand, the Parisian label go quirky with Norwegian model Merethe Hopland in their new "Lèvres Scintillantes" campaign.
